Life lately

Before I begin my recap on the last 3 months I came across some random photo article on MSN with 25 pictures of the cutest sleeping babies. Here is my favorite one.

Ohh my CUTENESS!!

Biggest news of the year so far....

After hours and hours and HOURS of studying for my National Dental Hygiene Board Exam and then hours and hours freaking out about it and feeling like I failed miserably I got my scores and PASSED with an 85%!!

Here is my journey to pass my board exam

Once upon a time there was a dental hygiene student. It was the last semester of her senior year and crunch time to study for her national board exam. It seemed an impossible task to feel fully prepared for the exam due to the exam covering material from all 4 years of college including specific things such as the scientific name of the bacteria that if found in a person's gingival crevice.. ridiculous, why would a patient want to know that? Its ....... just in case you were dying to know. Well the girl new she had to prepare as much as she could so she said goodbye to 300$ and took a review class that gave her the jump start to studying that she needed. She also spent her last spring break studying. All day, every day... or for the most part she did. Some days were pretty long and boring.

And then the dreadful day arrived. 8:00 AM she began the first part of the test. 3 hours and 200 questions later she wanted to cry as she left the building for her lunch break. She seriously considered ditching the second part of the test and going on a spontaneous shopping spree. But the better part of her judgement sent her to Quidoba Mexican Grill where she stuffed her face with a 1lb rice, bean and chicken burrito. The burrito and a lunch visit with her aunt and 3 cute cousins was the escape she needed. With a revived energy she made it back to the testing center and completed the second portion of the test. 150 case study questions and 3 1/2 more hours later it was OVER!!! But her confidence was exhausted and all she could do was hope and pray that she wouldnt have to suffer the embarrasing fate of failing her exam. After the test she picked up her boyfriend from the airport who was lucky enough to play around in Hawaii for his Spring Break. It was a happy reunion and comforting to be around someone to help her forget about the worst test of her life.

Two and a half weeks later the dental hygiene student kept hearing about all the other students who were getting their results and passing their board exams. The anxiety and anticipation escalated. On a Wed afternoon she walked to the mailbox. She knew her results were there. Sure enough they were there! Her stomach knotted up and her heart was racing. Should she wait? Should she open them with someone else around so that if she needed to cry she would have someone there? But what if she did fail? Would she really want people to know about it? But what if she passed? All of these thoughts were running through her mind as she began walking back to her apartment. Until she just couldnt stand not knowing anymore! She stopped and began tearing open the envelope. The paper was shaking lightly and she unfolded it and prayed "please please please let this say I passed" When she looked at the unfolded paper she only saw a bunch of numbers and then scanned to the bottom of the letter and as she read the words "satisfactory completion" she sprang up into the air with joy. The excitement sprang through her body and she ran back to her apartment, burst through the door, and exclaimed "I passed, I passed!!" There was jumping and screaming and hugging and it felt like the happiest place on earth!
